Ronis Interlocks
Application Gallery
Ronis have developed a range of interlocks intended to protect personnel using high voltage equipment and to prevent damage to equipment due to incorrect operation. The range is built around a durable stainless steel case, a brass cylinder pin-tumbler offering significant opportunities for key combinations and a Ronis key.
EL Bolt Interlocks
EL bolt interlocks are designed for locking 'OFF' electrical switchgear isolators and earthing devices. The standard unit is supplied with a 10mm diameter bolt which is 6mm in length when the key is captive and 18mm when the key is released. The bolt movement is directly controlled by the rotation of the key.
ELL Bolt Interlocks
ELL bolt interlocks are dual key units designed for locking 'OFF' electrical switchgear isolators and earthing devices. They are available in two configurations; key exchange or double key. For both versions the standard unit is supplied with a 10mm diameter bolt which is 6mm in length when retracted and 18mm when extended. The bolt movement is directly controlled by the rotation of the keys.
ELC Exchange Boxes
ELC exchange boxes are designed to enable the release of extra keys by inserting an initial key or keys. This may be required when access to more than 1 ELP door interlock is needed or when a specific switchgear configuration is required.
Special ELC Exchange Boxes
Special exchange boxes which can be used to integrate a Ronis trapped key interlock system into a Kaba, Herpe, Castell, HFS or Fortress system are available upon request.
ELP1 Door Interlocks
ELP1 door interlocks are suitable for use on all panel, cabinet and transformer hinged doors. Inserting and rotating the Ronis key allows the striker plate to be removed. Whist the striker plate is removed the key is trapped in the unit. Only when the door is closed and the striker plate in position can the key be removed.
ELP2 Door Interlocks
ELP2 door interlocks are dual key units suitable for use on all panel, cabinet and transformer hinged doors. Inserting and rotating the Ronis keys allows the striker plate to be removed. Whist the striker plate is removed the keys are trapped in the unit. Only when the door is closed and the striker plate in position can the keys be removed.
EL Cam Locks
EL cam locks are designed to release their keys only when the electrical switchgear is in the desired position, either locked 'ON' or locked 'OFF'. Whilst the key is released the desired position cannot be altered.
EL Key Switches
EL key switches are a range of cam locks fitted with electrical contacts. On turning and removing the key a set of contacts driven by the key will change over.
EL Solenoid Released Key Switches
EL solenoid released key switches are designed to be used on uninterruptable power supply (UPS) systems, only releasing the key when the UPS is in bypass. Under normal condition the key is trapped in the unit. To release the key an external signal must be provided to energise the solenoid. With the solenoid energised the illuminated push button will light up confirming that the key can be removed. On turning and removing the key a set of contacts directly driven by the key will change over.
